A gently curved 32mm tube in satin (brushed) 304 stainless steel gives a secure handhold for moving around the bathroom, stepping in and out of the shower, or sitting down on and standing up from the toilet. Concealed fixings and a minimalist profile mean it blends into the room until it is needed.

Choose from 200mm, 300mm or 400mm lengths. The 300mm rail suits most toilet and bath positions, and the 400mm rail gives a longer grip at a shower entrance. If you want a matching straight rail, see the AKW 1200 Series straight satin stainless steel and matt black grab rails.

Installation notes

A grab rail is only as strong as the wall it is fixed to. Always use fixings suited to the wall type (solid masonry, timber stud or plasterboard with noggins or a pattress board) and fit the rail with every fixing point used. Wall fixings are not normally supplied, because the right fixing depends on your wall. Check for hidden pipes and cables before drilling. Where a rail is being fitted for a specific person, an occupational therapist can advise on the best height and position.

Sizes & product codes

Length

AKW code

EAN

200mm

01270

5055295170766

300mm

01271

5055295170773

400mm

01272

5055295170780

Technical specification

Range

AKW 1200 Series

Material

304 stainless steel

Finish

Satin stainless steel

Lengths

200mm, 300mm, 400mm

Diameter

32mm

Wall clearance

56mm

Maximum load

150kg

Fixing points

9 per bracket, 18 per rail

Wall fixings

Not supplied

Warranty

2 years

Frequently asked questions

Will this rail rust?

It is made from 304 stainless steel, which is designed for wet bathroom environments.

Are the fixings visible?

No – a removable cover conceals the bracket fixings.

Are wall plugs and screws included?

Wall fixings are not supplied; choose fixings suited to your wall.

How much weight will it take?

AKW state a maximum load of 150kg.

Need help choosing?

Not sure which length, colour or style you need?
