Always use fixings suited to the wall type (solid masonry, timber stud or plasterboard with noggins or a pattress board) and fit the rail with every fixing point used. Wall fixings are not normally supplied, because the right fixing depends on your wall. Check for hidden pipes and cables before drilling. Where a rail is being fitted for a specific person, an occupational therapist can advise on the best height and position.

Sizes & product codes

Style

Colour

AKW code

EAN

300mm Straight

White

01240WH

5055295147140

300mm Straight

Mid Grey

01240MG

5055295158689

300mm Straight

Dark Blue

01240DB

5055295158672

450mm Straight

White

01241WH

5055295147157

450mm Straight

Mid Grey

01241MG

5055295158702

450mm Straight

Dark Blue

01241DB

5055295158696

600mm Straight

White

01242WH

5055295147164

600mm Straight

Mid Grey

01242MG

5055295158726

600mm Straight

Dark Blue

01242DB

5055295158719

265 x 265mm Angled

White

01248WH

5055295150218

T Shape 1200 x 300 x 300mm

White

01245WH

5055295147195

Stand Alone T Shape 1110 x 300 x 300mm

White

01246WH

5055295147577

Technical specification

Range

AKW 1200 Series

Material

Stainless steel with epoxy coating

Diameter

32mm

Rail-to-wall clearance

56mm

Safe working load (straight rails)

150kg / 23.5 stone, central load

Fixing points

Three per flange, captive flange covers

Colours

White, Mid Grey, Dark Blue (straight); White (angled and T shape)

Fixings

Not supplied – choose to suit your wall

Frequently asked questions

Why choose a coloured grab rail?

A rail that contrasts with the wall behind it is easier to see, so it can be located quickly.

Does the coating feel cold?

The epoxy coating is smoother and warmer to the touch than bare metal.

Which rail is best in a shower?

A T shape rail gives both horizontal and vertical grab points, so it is a popular choice in a shower; straight rails also work well fitted vertically by the shower entry.

Are fixings supplied?

No – choose fixings suited to your wall type.

Need help choosing?

Not sure which length, colour or style you need?
