The pillar must be fixed securely to a solid floor, as it carries the full leverage of the rail when in use. If you are unsure whether your floor is suitable, or which combination of rail and pillar is right for the user, please call us on 0333 772 4162.

Installation notes

Install the pillar on a solid, level floor using fixings suited to the floor construction (fixings are not normally supplied). Position it so that the lowered rail sits at the correct distance from the toilet centre line for the user. Installation by a competent installer is recommended, and an occupational therapist can advise on the right position.

Sizes & product codes

Product

Colour

AKW code

EAN

Free standing pillar for fold up rail

White

01802

5055295107557

Technical specification

Range

AKW 1800 Series

Product

Free standing pillar for fold up rail

Colour

White

Compatible with

AKW 1800 Series fold up support rails

Rail

Sold separately

Fixings

Not supplied

Frequently asked questions

Does the pillar include a rail?

No – the fold up rail is sold separately.

When do I need a pillar?

When there is no wall in the right place beside the toilet to fix a fold up rail to.

Does it need to be fixed to the floor?

Yes – it must be securely fixed to a solid floor.

Which rails will it take?

It is designed for the AKW 1800 Series fold up support rails.

Need help choosing?

Not sure which length, colour or style you need?
