Fit it to a solid masonry wall, or to a stud wall that has been properly reinforced with a pattress board or noggins, using fixings suited to the wall and the load. Wall fixings are not normally supplied, because the correct fixing depends on your wall. Check for hidden pipes and cables before drilling, and follow AKW's fitting instructions. Where the seat is being fitted for a specific person, an occupational therapist can advise on the best seat height and position.

Sizes & product codes

Version

AKW code

EAN

Unpadded Seat, Grey Arms

03131

–

Grey Padded Seat & Back, Grey Arms

03131P

5055295171084

Technical specification

Range

AKW 3000 Series

Construction

Powder-coated aluminium and stainless steel

Cushions

Polyurethane, grey, removable (03131P)

Safe working load

30st / 190kg

Seat height

450–625mm, set at installation

Leg fine adjustment

±13mm

Wall fixing

Two mounting brackets

Warranty

AKW lifetime warranty

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum user weight?

30 stone (190kg).

Do the arms fold?

Yes – each arm folds independently, and the seat folds up against the wall.

Can I add cushions to the unpadded seat later?

Yes – the grey seat and back cushions are available as spares.

Is it suitable for a sloping floor?

Yes – the support leg has ±13mm fine adjustment.

Downloads

3000 Series shower seat specification sheet (PDF)

Need help choosing?

Not sure which option is right?
