Its fixed heating element holds the outside of the rail at a controlled 43°C, so towels stay warm and the room feels comfortable without the burn risk of a conventional towel radiator.

Choose a straight or curved multirail design in a chrome or white finish, in heights from 800mm to 1600mm and widths from 300mm to 600mm. Because it is a sealed electric towel warmer, it works independently of the central heating, so the bathroom can be kept warm all year round.

Why low surface temperature matters

A standard radiator can get hot enough to burn skin on prolonged contact; a low surface temperature model keeps touchable surfaces safe for everyone, including young children. NHS safe surface temperature guidance for healthcare and care settings says that surfaces people can touch should not go above 43°C. AKW designs its LST (Low Surface Temperature) towel warmers to keep the outer surface no hotter than 43°C, in line with that guidance.

Key features & benefits

Low surface temperature – fixed heat element gives a controlled surface temperature of 43°C

Protects residents and family members from dangerously hot surfaces

Glycol filled for even heat across every rail and a constant safe temperature

Multirail design with 25mm horizontal tubes and flat tops

Straight or curved styles in chrome or white

Electric only – no pipework, so no leaks, no bursts and no system draining

Quick to install with minimal wiring, keeping installation costs down

Can be connected to a timer

No maintenance costs and no certificate costs for landlords

Four wall brackets supplied with every towel warmer

10 year guarantee on the towel warmer and 2 year guarantee on the heating element

How to choose the right towel warmer

Style: the straight version sits closer to the wall and suits most bathrooms. It can also be run from a timer.

Will it heat the whole bathroom?

It adds gentle background warmth and keeps towels warm. Because the surface temperature is kept low, a larger bathroom may need another safe heat source, such as AKW low surface temperature underfloor heating.

Can I get help choosing?

Yes – call our team on 0333 772 4162 and we will help you pick the right size and finish.

Downloads

AKW LST Towel Warmer specification sheet (PDF)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0961/7273/6838/files/23426-2_15b53398-ecd3-4022-b349-080cc7f9c346.jpg?v=1759761116
