Both versions use dense-grain, treated rubberwood slats with varnished, profiled edges on a rust-proof stainless steel frame, and both safely support users up to 40 stone (254kg). Fit it to a solid masonry wall, or to a stud wall that has been properly reinforced with a pattress board or noggins, using fixings suited to the wall and the load. Wall fixings are not normally supplied, because the correct fixing depends on your wall. Check for hidden pipes and cables before drilling, and follow AKW's fitting instructions. Where the seat is being fitted for a specific person, an occupational therapist can advise on the best seat height and position.

Sizes & product codes

Version

Size (W x D)

Height

AKW code

EAN

Fold up wall mounted seat

442 x 478mm

390–640mm (set at installation)

04030

5055295107069

Freestanding stool

555 x 372mm

410–535mm (25mm steps)

05080

5055295108622

Technical specification

Seat

Treated rubberwood slats, varnished profiled edges

Frame

Stainless steel (rust-proof)

Safe working load

40st / 254kg

Warranty

AKW lifetime warranty

Frequently asked questions

Will the wood rot in the shower?

The rubberwood is treated and varnished, and the slatted design lets water drain so the seat dries between uses.

Does the stool need fixing?

No – the stool is freestanding.
