Kartell describe it as creating "an air of calm with its curvaceous design", and that is about right: it is the range to pick when you want the taps to settle into the room rather than announce themselves.

This is the mini mono basin mixer, and it comes complete with a matching click waste.

When to choose the mini

A mini basin mixer is shorter in the body and spout than a standard one. It suits a cloakroom basin, a compact vanity unit, or any basin where a full-size tap looks oversized.

Mirage is already the slimmest range Kartell make, so the mini is genuinely small — 0.67kg, the lightest tap in the whole brassware catalogue. On a small cloakroom basin that's exactly right. On anything approaching full size it will look lost.

The trade-off is reach: a shorter spout lands water closer to the back of the bowl. As a rule, if the basin is under about 450mm wide the mini is the better proportion; above that, use the standard Mirage mono basin mixer.

Water pressure

Suitable for low pressure systems — useful in older properties, where a cloakroom is often the furthest point from the hot cylinder and the worst-served tap in the house.

Living with it

The ceramic disc cartridge with quarter-turn operation gives full flow from a small movement of the lever, and is far less prone to dripping than a washer tap.

A plain rounded chrome body is the easiest thing in a bathroom to keep clean.

The rest of the Mirage range

The range also includes a mono basin mixer with click waste, a bath filler and a bath shower mixer.

Specification

Code: TAP251MI

Polished chrome, gloss finish

Solid brass construction

Compact slim curved body, single lever

Ceramic disc cartridge, quarter turn operation

Deck mounted, one tap hole

Matching click waste included

1/2" BSP flexi hose connections

Suitable for low water pressure systems

Weight 0.67kg

Fixings supplied

Lifetime guarantee (1 year on moving parts)

Barcode 5055681438258

Downloads

Download the technical data sheet

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0961/7273/6838/files/TAP251MI_fe42eeae-4494-4ed5-9ff6-2b0e8b086de4.jpg?v=1759760502
https://www.keywestbathrooms.co.uk/products/kartell-k-vit-mirage-mini-mono-basin-mixer-with-click-waste-chrome-tap251mi
