This is the bath shower mixer: a deck-mounted bath tap with a diverter and a shower handset on a flexible hose.

What it does

It fills the bath like a normal bath filler, and the diverter sends water to the handset instead — so you can shower over the bath, rinse hair, or clean the bath without a separate shower installation.

If you already have a separate shower and only need to fill the bath, the Pure bath filler costs less and keeps the line cleaner — which matters more on a sharp-edged range like this, where a coiled hose is visually at odds with the styling.

It's a heavy fitting

At 3.72kg this is one of the heaviest deck-mounted taps in the Kartell brassware range — solid brass rather than thin castings. Worth checking your bath rim can take it, particularly on a thin acrylic bath without a reinforcing plate.

Before you order

This is a two tap hole deck-mounted tap, the standard arrangement on most baths.

Bath taps use 3/4" BSP connections, larger than the 1/2" on basin taps, so check your existing tails.

The waste is sold separately — and on this range a square-profile bath waste will look right where a round one won't.

Water pressure

Suitable for low pressure systems. Being straight: on gravity-fed plumbing the handset will be a gentle spray rather than a powerful shower. That's your water pressure, not the tap. If you want a proper shower over the bath, you need a pump.

Living with it

The ceramic disc cartridge with quarter-turn operation gives full flow from a small movement and is far less prone to dripping than a washer tap.

Square profiles give limescale more corners to sit in than round ones, so in a hard water area a regular wipe keeps it looking sharp. Polished chrome needs nothing more than a soft cloth — avoid abrasives and don't leave descaler to soak.

The rest of the Pure range

The range also includes a mono basin mixer with click waste, a bath filler and a freestanding bath shower mixer.

Kartell also make Pure showering, furniture and sanitaryware, so the square profile can be carried right through the room.

Specification

Code: TAP051PR

Polished chrome, gloss finish

Solid brass construction

Square body with flat blade spout

Two lever handles

Ceramic disc cartridges, quarter turn operation

Integrated diverter, shower handset and hose included

Deck mounted, two tap holes

3/4" BSP connections

Suitable for low water pressure systems

Weight 3.72kg

Fixings supplied

Waste sold separately

Lifetime guarantee (1 year on moving parts)

Barcode 5060168228659

Downloads

Download the technical data sheet
