It is sold as one kit because the two have to work together.

This is the retainer version: a chrome plug on a chain, with a small parking point on the overflow cover so the plug sits neatly out of the way rather than dangling in the bath.

It is the plainest and cheapest bath waste here, and there is nothing in it to fail. If you want a plug you can lift out and see, this is the one.

The alternative is a click bath waste, where you press the plug to open and close it — tidier to look at, with a mechanism to go with it.

Before you order

Bath taps are almost never supplied with a waste, so on a new bath this is a separate buy — and it is the part people forget until the bath is in.

Check there is access behind the bath panel for the overflow pipe, and enough depth under the bath for the trap. On a low or panelled-in bath that clearance is the thing to measure.

Finish and looking after it

Polished chrome needs nothing more than a wipe with a soft damp cloth. Keep abrasive cleaners and strong limescale removers away from it — both cut through the plating.

Guarantee

Kartell give the wastes a lifetime guarantee, as shown on the 2026 brochure.

Specification

Code: WAS011

Polished chrome

Metal plug with chain and parking point

Combined waste and overflow with flexible pipe

For standard bath outlets

Lifetime guarantee

Barcode 5055681400330

Downloads

Download the technical data sheet

https://www.keywestbathrooms.co.uk/products/kartell-k-vit-retainer-bath-waste-and-overflow-chrome-was011
