Also available in brass.

These are angled valves: use them where the pipe comes up out of the floor (or out of the wall) and turns through 90° into the side of the radiator.

These are manual valves: you turn the head by hand to open or close the radiator, rather than the valve controlling the room temperature for you. They come as a pair – one valve to turn the radiator on and off, and a matching lockshield valve for the other end, which your plumber sets once to balance the heating system. Manual valves are a simple, good-looking choice for towel rails and radiators where you don’t need automatic temperature control.

Fitting

The valves are for standard UK 15mm pipework and connect to the radiator or towel rail with a standard ½” BSP fitting. Fitting means draining down or isolating the heating system, so we recommend using a plumber or heating engineer. Protect the finish while tightening the nuts (a couple of layers of cloth or paper between the spanner and the nut helps) and don’t over-tighten.

Looking after the finish

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and strong cleaning sprays, which can damage the polished chrome finish.

Specification

Code: TRAD-ANG-C

Barcode (EAN): 5055681417598

Type: Manual radiator valves (pair)

Colour: Chrome

Finish: Polished chrome

Material: Brass

Pipe size: 15mm

Radiator connection: ½” BSP

Size (approx.): wheelhead valve 117.8mm tall, lockshield 77.5mm tall; about 56mm pipe to radiator connection

Weight: 1kg

Guarantee: 5 years

Downloads

Kartell data sheet – pair (TRAD-ANG-C)

https://www.keywestbathrooms.co.uk/products/kartell-k-vit-traditional-manual-radiator-valves-angled-pair-chrome
