Each piece carries the same soft sediment markings as the full-size tiles, so across a sheet the colour shifts gently from chip to chip and gives a lively, varied surface.

Mosaic is the usual answer for a shower floor, where the extra grout lines give grip and the small pieces follow the fall to the drain, and for a niche, a border or a splashback behind a basin. It is rated for walls and floors indoors and matches the plain light grey tiles exactly.

The pieces are porcelain, so they are dense and water-resistant and suited to wet areas.
