The AKW Braddan 1200x820mm is a large rectangular shower tray that combines an impressive 1200mm length with an 820mm width — one of the most generous footprints in the Braddan range. The 820mm depth is 20mm wider than a standard 800mm tray, which may sound modest but makes a real difference in practice, providing noticeably more standing room and easier carer access from the side. It's an excellent choice for master bathrooms, family bathrooms, and care environments where space is available and a premium showering experience is the priority.

Made from durable GRP with integral reinforcement, the Braddan supports up to 190.5kg (30 stone) and features a slip-resistant surface as standard. At just 40mm high, it can be surface mounted for a low step-in threshold, semi-recessed for a 20mm threshold, or fully recessed into the floor for complete level access — making it suitable for the full range of domestic and accessibility projects.

No under-tray foaming is required, keeping installation clean and straightforward. The non-handed design works for both left and right-hand layouts. Tiling upstands are included as standard to ensure a watertight finish between the tray and wall tiles. Optional 20mm and 40mm ramp kits are available for semi-recessed or surface-mounted installations.

This pack includes a TDTW 50 White ABS Plastic Gravity Waste (Code 25126), which features a built-in filter, secure 50mm threaded fitting, and 124mm depth below tray.

What's the difference between the 1200x820mm and the 1200x800mm Braddan? The 820mm depth gives you an extra 20mm of width compared to the 800mm version.
