A single ended bath has the taps and waste at one end and a sloped backrest at the other — the most common bath layout in UK homes, and the easiest to fit into a standard alcove.
Choosing a length
1500mm suits compact bathrooms and older properties. 1700mm is the UK standard and the safest choice if you are replacing like for like. 1800mm gives noticeably more room to stretch out where the space allows.
Measure your existing alcove wall to wall before ordering. Baths are made slightly under their nominal size to allow for tolerance, but a tight alcove leaves no room for error.
Acrylic or steel?
Acrylic is warm to the touch, lighter to handle and holds heat well. Reinforced acrylic adds rigidity underfoot. Steel baths are more resistant to scratching and hold their shape, but feel colder and are considerably heavier to install.
Don't forget
A bath rarely comes complete. You will usually need a bath panel, a bath waste and taps. Check the product page for what is included before ordering.
