Square Shower Trays

A square shower tray is the natural fit for a corner installation, pairing with a quadrant enclosure, a corner-entry door or a simple wet room screen. In a smaller bathroom it often makes better use of the floor than a rectangular tray.

Choosing a size

We stock square trays from 800x800mm up to 1200x1200mm. 800x800mm and 900x900mm are the standard corner sizes and suit most bathrooms; 1000x1000mm and above give noticeably more elbow room and work well where a shower seat or carer access is needed.

Height and access

Low profile square trays sit around 40-45mm high, which is far easier to step into than a traditional raised tray. The AKW Braddan at 40mm can be recessed into a timber or screeded floor for a completely level, step-free threshold — useful for wheelchair users and anyone with limited mobility.

Wastes and finishes

Square trays typically take either a 90mm fast-flow waste or a 50mm threaded gravity waste, with pumped options where there is no fall to the soil stack. Anti-slip textured finishes are available across the accessible ranges. Our waste selection guide covers the depth and floor-finish rules.
