Carron Halcyon D-Shaped Front Bath Panel – White (02436)

The wraparound front panel for the Carron Halcyon D-shaped bath, moulded to follow the full curve of the bath from one wall to the other. It is 1750 x 602mm and covers the whole visible front, which is what allows the bath to read as freestanding while still sitting back against a wall.

One panel, either bath

Unlike most of the Carron range there is no separate standard and Carronite version – Carron make a single panel for the Halcyon D, and it suits the 5mm acrylic bath and the Carronite bath alike. There is nothing to match up: if you have a Halcyon D, this is the panel.

It is a substantial moulding rather than a flat sheet – nearly 26kg – which is why it costs considerably more than a conventional bath panel. On a bath with an exposed curved front there is no alternative to it.

Fitting tips

Level the bath so its rim sits at 602mm before offering up the panel – that is the height it is cut to, and it is taller than a standard bath panel. Offer it up dry first and check the curve follows the bath the whole way round before fixing anything. Fix it so it can be removed again: with no side access on a D-shaped bath, this panel is the only way back to the waste and trap.
