The front panel for the Carron Urban Edge 1575mm L-shaped shower bath, made in two versions to go with Carron's two bath finishes: a standard panel for 5mm acrylic baths, and a Carronite panel for Carronite baths. Choose the one that matches the finish of your bath.

This panel follows the contour of the bath

It is not a flat panel, and it is not a square-stepped L either. The Urban Edge steps from 842mm at the showering end down to 692mm along the bathing section through a curved transition, and the panel is moulded to match – a shaped section that runs into a straight length. Carron describe it as "non L" for exactly that reason: it is shaped, but not the right-angled L of their other shower bath panels.

The practical upshot is that it is specific to this bath. A straight bath panel will not fit an Urban Edge, and a square-stepped panel from another Carron shower bath will not follow the curve. It also will not fit the longer 1675mm Urban Edge – check which length you have.

Carron list one front panel per length, so the same panel covers both the left hand and the right hand version of the bath.

Do you need an end panel?

Carron do not make one for the Urban Edge. The range is front panel only, so if the narrow end of your bath is open rather than sitting against a wall, that is worth planning for before the bath goes in.

Fitting tips

Level the bath so its rim sits at 540mm before offering up the panel – that is the height it is cut to. Offer it up dry first and check the shaped section lines up with the curve in the bath before you fix anything. Fix it so it can be removed again: it is the only way back to the waste and trap if they ever need attention.
