Kartell K-VIT Plan Towel Bar – Chrome (ACC120)

Kartell K-VIT Plan Towel Bar – Chrome (ACC120)

Plan is Kartell's modern range of brassware and accessories, built around soft round shapes and a polished chrome finish. The accessories share their round backplates with the Plan mono basin mixer and Plan bath filler, so the taps and accessories look like one set.

A chrome towel bar with round end brackets, for hanging a bath or hand towel flat against the wall where it can air and dry between uses.

Choosing and using it

Kartell list it at 645mm long, so it suits a bath towel folded in half or two hand towels side by side. Before you buy, check there is a clear 645mm run of wall free of switches, sockets and tile trims, and remember the bar stands 73mm out from the wall.

Fitting

Most towel bars are fitted at around 1100–1200mm from the floor beside the bath or shower so a towel is within reach as you step out. Mark both fixing points with a spirit level before drilling – a bar that is even slightly out of level is very noticeable with a towel hanging from it.

Kartell supply fixings with it. Before drilling, check they suit your wall: plasterboard and stud walls need cavity fixings rather than standard plugs, and tiles should be drilled with a tile bit on a slow speed to avoid cracking.
