Kartell K-VIT Wire Corner Basket – Chrome (ACC101)

Kartell K-VIT Wire Corner Basket – Chrome (ACC101)

Wire is Kartell's range of chrome wire baskets for keeping the shower and bath tidy. The open wire construction lets water drain away and air circulate, so bottles, soap and sponges are not left sitting in standing water.

A single quarter-round chrome wire basket that fits into the corner of a shower or bath, making use of space that is otherwise wasted.

Choosing and using it

It measures 230 x 230mm along the two walls and is 50mm deep, which suits soap, a sponge and a couple of bottles. Need more space? The Wire Double Corner Basket (ACC102) gives you two tiers.

Fitting

Fit it within easy reach but out of the direct spray of the shower – for most people around chest height. Kartell supply fixings with it. Before drilling, check they suit your wall: plasterboard and stud walls need cavity fixings rather than standard plugs, and tiles should be drilled with a tile bit on a slow speed to avoid cracking. In a shower, run a little silicone into each hole before inserting the plug so water cannot get behind the tiles.
