Kartell K-VIT Wire Soap Basket – Chrome (ACC099)

Kartell K-VIT Wire Soap Basket – Chrome (ACC099)

Wire is Kartell's range of chrome wire baskets for keeping the shower and bath tidy. The open wire construction lets water drain away and air circulate, so bottles, soap and sponges are not left sitting in standing water.

A rectangular chrome wire basket that fixes to the wall, for soap, shower gel, shampoo bottles and sponges in the shower or beside the bath.

Choosing and using it

At 275 x 136mm and 68mm deep it holds a few standard bottles upright, and the open wire base lets water drain straight through. If you need more room, or somewhere to hang a flannel, the longer Wire Soap Basket with Hook (ACC100) is the alternative.

Fitting

Fit it within easy reach but out of the direct spray of the shower – for most people around chest height. Kartell supply fixings with it. Before drilling, check they suit your wall: plasterboard and stud walls need cavity fixings rather than standard plugs, and tiles should be drilled with a tile bit on a slow speed to avoid cracking. In a shower, run a little silicone into each hole before inserting the plug so water cannot get behind the tiles.
