Sold by the box – 50 tiles per box, covering around 0.45m². Each 38x235mm tile is 0.009m², so a box works out at roughly £84.44 per m² (£0.76 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Indigo is the darkest blue in the Avalon range, a deep ink shade that leans towards purple in some light. The 38x235mm ceramic finger tile carries it under a crackle gloss glaze, so the surface is glossy and crazed with fine lines, and the colour shifts between tiles.

Stacked vertically it makes a strong, dark column behind a basin or along a shower wall; laid horizontally it works as a kitchen upstand. The small format handles niches and returns with few cuts. It is for interior walls only.

Glazed ceramic wipes clean and shrugs off steam, and the dark colour hides water marks well. The crackle pattern is deliberate and differs from piece to piece. A box of 50 covers 0.45 square metres, so plan the area and round up.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.45 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Walls only. Use a flexible wall adhesive spread thin with a fine-notched trowel. Keep a 1-2mm joint and mark vertical lines on the wall first, as a stack of narrow tiles will show any wander. A dark grout suits the indigo; test it on a spare tile because crackle glazes can take up grout colour, and seal first if advised.
