Carron Quantum Shower Bath 1600mm Front Panel – White (02390 / 02391)

The front panel for the Carron Quantum 1600mm L-shaped shower bath, made in two versions to go with Carron's two bath finishes: a standard panel for Carron's 5mm acrylic baths, and a Carronite panel for Carronite baths. Choose the one that matches the finish of your bath.

This panel is shaped to the L step

The Quantum shower bath is 850mm wide at the showering end and 700mm along the bathing section, and this panel is moulded to follow that step in and out. It is not a flat panel. A straight 1600 x 540mm bath panel will not fit a Quantum shower bath, and this panel will not fit a straight bath — the step has to line up with the step in the bath.

Carron list one front panel for each length, so the same panel covers both the left hand and the right hand version of the bath.

Specification

Do you need an end panel too?

Only if the narrow end of the bath is open, as in a corner layout. In an alcove between two walls the front panel is all you need. If you do need one, it is the Carron shower bath 700 x 540mm end panel — which is a shower bath panel, not the standard Carron 700 x 540mm end panel (02286 / 02272). The two are different products despite the same stated size, so order the shower bath one.

Fitting tips

Level the bath so its rim sits at 540mm before offering up the panel — that is the height the panel is cut to. Offer the panel up dry first and check the step lines up with the step in the bath before you fix anything. Fix it so it can be removed again: it is the only way back to the waste and trap if they ever need attention.
