Sold by the box – 5 tiles per box, covering around 1.35m². Each 300x900mm tile is 0.27m², so a box works out at roughly £42.89 per m² (£11.58 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The 300x900mm plank is the long, narrow format in the Beaufort range. In cream it gives a warm marble look with gentle veining drawn out along the length of each tile, with a matt surface.

Five rectified ceramic tiles make a box of 1.35m². Laid vertically it adds height to a bathroom wall; laid in a staggered brick bond it works on floors, and it is approved for both. The length of the tile means fewer joints than a standard 300x600mm tile on the same wall.

Ceramic keeps the tile lighter than porcelain for wall fixing while still being rated for indoor floors. It matches the cream 250x500mm wall tile and the cream porcelain squares and slabs. It needs no sealing and wipes clean, so it suits busy bathrooms and kitchens.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.35 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible adhesive suited to ceramic on floors and walls, with a full bed under floor tiles and a 2–3mm joint. Long tiles can bow slightly, so a one-third offset is safer than a half-offset on floors. Mix boxes as you lay.
