Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 0.81m². Each 450x900mm tile is 0.405m², so a box works out at roughly £68.64 per m² (£27.80 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The semi-polished finish does the most for this colour. A dark charcoal grey with the fine grain of Cardoso stone, lifted by a satin sheen that catches light across the big 450x900mm face without turning it into a mirror. On a floor it looks like honed dark stone.

Two tiles per box cover 0.81m². The large format suits a statement floor in a hallway or kitchen, a full shower wall or a feature behind a bath. Keep the grout dark and the joints almost disappear. The dark grey 70x280mm brick in the same range edges it neatly.

Porcelain for walls and floors, suitable indoors and outdoors. Where a wet floor or exterior surface needs more grip, the dark grey anti-slip matt version in the Branford range is the one to use. Limited stock, so order the complete job at once.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.81 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay on a flat, sound base with a cementitious adhesive on both tile and substrate so the large tile is fully supported. Use 2 to 3mm joints with a dark flexible grout and offset brick bond by no more than a third. Outside, use frost-resistant adhesive and grout.
