Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 0.81m². Each 450x900mm tile is 0.405m², so a box works out at roughly £68.64 per m² (£27.80 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A large 450x900mm porcelain tile in light grey, with the fine, even grain of Cardoso stone across the face. The satin finish is semi-polished: it has a soft sheen that lifts the grey and shows the grain, without the full reflection of a polished tile.

Two tiles come in a box covering 0.81m². The big rectangle suits open floors and full-height bathroom walls, laid in a half-bond or stacked, and a hallway or kitchen floor goes down with very few joints. It also pairs with the light grey 70x280mm brick as a border.

Rated for walls and floors, indoors and outdoors. For wet floors and outside, the same colour comes in an anti-slip matt version in the Branford range. Limited stock, so order everything for the job at once.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.81 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Large-format tiles need a flat substrate and a cementitious adhesive applied to both the floor or wall and the back of the tile, with no voids. Keep joints at 2 to 3mm and offset brick bond by a third, not a half, to avoid lipping. Use frost-resistant adhesive and grout outdoors.
