Kartell K-VIT Bath Pop-Up Waste & Overflow – Chrome (WAS015)

Kartell K-VIT Bath Pop-Up Waste & Overflow – Chrome (WAS015)

A bath waste and overflow is a two-part fitting: the plug and outlet in the bottom of the bath, and the overflow cover at the top end, joined by a flexible pipe behind the bath. It is sold as one kit because the two have to work together.

This is the pop-up version, and it works differently from the others: a turn control on the overflow cover raises and lowers the plug by linkage, so you open and close the bath without putting your hand in the water.

Why choose a pop-up

On a full bath, reaching down through the water to press a click plug is the small indignity nobody mentions. A pop-up is operated at the overflow, at the end of the bath, above the water line.

It is worth the extra on a deep bath, and it suits anyone who finds bending or reaching awkward. The trade-off is a linkage behind the bath panel, so it wants access if it ever needs adjusting.

Before you order

Bath taps are almost never supplied with a waste, so on a new bath this is a separate buy — and it is the part people forget until the bath is in.

Check there is access behind the bath panel for the overflow pipe, and enough depth under the bath for the trap. On a low or panelled-in bath that clearance is the thing to measure.

Finish and looking after it

Polished chrome needs nothing more than a wipe with a soft damp cloth. Keep abrasive cleaners and strong limescale removers away from it — both cut through the plating.

Kartell give the wastes a lifetime guarantee, as shown on the 2026 brochure.
