Kartell K-VIT Easy Clean Click Basin Waste Unslotted – Matt Black (WAS041)

Kartell K-VIT Easy Clean Click Basin Waste Unslotted – Matt Black (WAS041)

A click basin waste in matt black — press once to close, again to open.

The top lifts out for cleaning, so you can clear the hair and soap that gathers under the plug without tools or chemicals — the thing that makes an ordinary click waste irritating in a family bathroom.

This one is unslotted. It is for a basin with no overflow, such as a countertop bowl. The slotted version is the easy clean click basin waste slotted.

Slotted or unslotted — get this right

This is the one thing people order wrong, and it causes either a leak or a basin that will not drain properly.

• A slotted waste has an opening in the side of the body. It is for a basin with an overflow hole — the small hole near the top of the bowl. The slot lets the overflow drain through the waste.
• An unslotted waste has a solid body and no opening. It is for a basin with no overflow — most countertop bowls, and many modern designer basins.

Fit an unslotted waste to a basin that has an overflow and the overflow cannot escape. Fit a slotted waste to a basin with no overflow and water finds its way out through the slot. Look into your basin before you order.

Finish and looking after it

This is the matt black option, so it matches the Nero Round, Nero Square and Fiuto Nero ranges — and any other matt black brassware, whoever made it.

Matt black is a coating rather than a plating, and it wants gentle treatment: a soft damp cloth only. Abrasives, bleach and limescale removers will mark it permanently, and unlike chrome it cannot be polished back.

Kartell give the wastes a lifetime guarantee, as shown on the 2026 brochure.
