Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x1200mm tile is 0.72m², so a box works out at roughly £77.22 per m² (£55.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Cape May Ivory polished is a high-shine ivory and cream onyx with soft banding, and the reflective surface gives it a glimmer that a matt tile cannot. It is the lightest, brightest tile in the range and bounces daylight around a bathroom or kitchen.

At 600x1200mm it covers a feature wall or a shower enclosure with very few joints, so the onyx bands run uninterrupted. It is also rated for floors, and suits living rooms where a polished floor adds light.

This is a polished porcelain with a detailed onyx face. For a floor that needs grip, use the natural ivory tile from the same range and keep this one for walls. Suitable for walls and floors indoors.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Lay with full-coverage flexible porcelain adhesive on a flat, primed base, back-buttering each tile and fitting levelling clips. Keep a 2 to 3mm joint with an ivory grout and sponge the polished surface clean before the grout dries, as haze shows on a gloss. Set out dry to balance the banding. Lift with two fitters; cut with a wet saw.
