Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 2.88m². Each 1200x1200mm tile is 1.44m², so a box works out at roughly £77.22 per m² (£111.20 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

The 1200x1200mm Charleston Grey is the largest tile in the range. One tile covers 1.44m², so a floor goes down with very few joints and a wall becomes almost a single sheet of stone. The light grey travertine banding has room to run across the full face.

Each tile varies in tone and banding, so a run of them looks like cut stone slabs. The matt finish keeps reflections down, which suits big open floors in kitchens, hallways and living areas as well as large bathroom walls.

Being porcelain it is strong enough for floors and suitable for walls, and it does not need sealing. Two tiles come in a box, covering 2.88m². Smaller sizes in the same grey let you step down to a 600x600mm in an adjoining room without changing colour.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 2.88 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

A tile this size needs a perfectly flat, rigid substrate and two people to handle it. Use a flexible porcelain adhesive with a large notch, back-butter every tile and use a levelling system. Keep joints at 3mm. Check for hollow spots by tapping before the adhesive sets.
