Del Mar White Oak is the lightest colour in the range: a washed, pale oak with a soft grey-beige grain running the length of the plank. It is the plank to pick for a bright, airy floor in a bathroom or kitchen, and it pairs well with white walls and black fittings.

Planks are 202x802mm, eight to a box, covering 1.30m². They lay in a staggered floorboard pattern, in straight rows for a decking look, or in herringbone. Variation between planks is deliberate and gives the floor its timber feel.

The tile is porcelain, so it does not stain, swell or need sealing, and it suits wet rooms as well as living areas. It is for indoor floors and walls. If you need the same colour outside or in a wet area that needs grip, the anti-slip white oak is the match.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.30 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a flexible porcelain adhesive, spread on the floor and buttered onto the plank, on a flat and rigid base. Stagger joints by a third of a plank. Keep the joint at 2-3mm and grout in a light grey or off-white so it disappears into the grain. Lay from mixed boxes.
