Kartell K-VIT Astley 600mm Mirror Cabinet (FUR524AS)

Kartell K-VIT Astley 600mm Mirror Cabinet (FUR524AS)

A traditional mirrored wall cabinet with a framed door and a chrome cup handle to match the rest of the range. Choose Matt Grey or Matt White above.

A Mirror That Earns Its Place

The wall above a basin is usually the most wasted space in a bathroom — there is a mirror there anyway, so it may as well hold something. This one puts the toothpaste, the razors and the paracetamol behind the glass rather than on the windowsill.

Unlike a plain frameless mirror, the Astley cabinet has a painted frame and a panelled surround, so it reads as a piece of furniture rather than a bathroom fitting. In a period bathroom that matters.

Hanging It

At 598mm high and 590mm wide it sits comfortably above the 620mm vanity unit without overhanging it, and projects only 162mm from the wall so it will not catch you leaning over the basin.

At 14.4kg with a glass door it needs a secure fixing — a solid wall, or a stud wall with proper noggins behind the plasterboard.
