Why Wall Mounted?

Leaving the floor clear beneath the unit does two useful things: you can mop straight underneath rather than around a plinth, and the run of visible floor makes a small bathroom feel noticeably larger. It also lets you set the height to suit the people using it, rather than accepting a fixed 850mm.

At 520mm high this is a compact unit — it takes up less wall than it might appear, and hangs well clear of the floor.

Check the Wall

At 17.4kg empty, before a ceramic basin full of water and whatever is in the drawers, this carries its whole weight on fixings. It needs a solid wall, or a stud wall with proper noggins behind the plasterboard. If there is any doubt, ask your fitter before ordering.

Wall Mounted or Floor Standing?

The same 600mm unit is available floor standing at 850mm high. Floor standing asks nothing of the wall and is the simpler fit; wall mounted looks lighter in a small room and is easier to clean beneath.
