Blum Drawer Runners

Moon is the only Kartell furniture range fitted with Blum hardware. Blum are an Austrian manufacturer who supply the fitted kitchen trade, and their runners are the ones specified when a drawer has to survive twenty years of daily use rather than five.

That matters more here than anywhere else in the range. An 800mm drawer loaded with towels is a lot of weight hanging on two runners, and it is exactly the width at which cheaper hardware starts to sag and catch. Paired with a metal drawer box rather than timber or plastic sides, this unit is built to take it.

Check the Wall

At 34.46kg empty this is the heaviest wall hung unit in the Moon range, before you add a large basin full of water and two full drawers. It needs a solid wall, or a stud wall with proper noggins behind the plasterboard, and fixings rated for the load. This is one to confirm with your fitter before ordering.
