Why Wall Mounted?

Leaving the floor clear beneath the unit does two useful things: you can mop straight underneath rather than around a plinth, and the run of visible floor makes a small bathroom feel noticeably larger. It also lets you set the height to suit the people using it, rather than accepting a fixed 850mm.

Check the Wall

At 20.7kg empty, before a ceramic basin full of water and whatever is in the drawers, this carries its whole weight on fixings. It needs a solid wall, or a stud wall with proper noggins behind the plasterboard. If there is any doubt, ask your fitter before ordering.

Metal Drawer Boxes and Blum Runners

The drawers run on steel drawer boxes rather than timber or plastic sides, on Blum soft close runners — the Austrian manufacturer that supplies the fitted kitchen trade. It is the difference you notice in year five rather than week one.

Choosing Your Basin

• Standard ceramic — a slim inset basin, keeping the unit at 520mm high.
• Mid depth ceramic — a deeper bowl that holds more water and splashes less. Raises the unit to 535mm.
• Ceramic worktop & sit-on bowl — a flat ceramic worktop with a round bowl standing on it, which looks particularly good on a wall hung unit. Needs a hi-rise mono mixer to clear the rim.

Handles

Matt silver aluminium handles are supplied as standard with White Gloss, Storm Grey Gloss and Silver Oak.

Matt Black is the exception — supplied pre-drilled but without handles, so you will need to add a pair. Upgrade handles are available separately in polished chrome, matt black, brushed brass and brushed nickel.

Wall Mounted or Floor Standing?

The same 600mm drawer unit is available floor standing at 850mm high. Floor standing asks nothing of the wall and is the simpler fit; wall mounted looks lighter in a small room and is easier to clean beneath.
