Sold by the box – 4 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x600mm tile is 0.36m², so a box works out at roughly £42.92 per m² (£15.45 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A 600x600mm square in soft matt, showing a warm ivory background crossed by heavy gold and grey veins. Without the gloss the pattern looks closer to honed stone, calmer and less reflective, which suits a floor that gets a lot of daylight or a wall you do not want to glare.

Four tiles to the box, covering 1.44m². The square shape is the easiest Hatteras format to plan and cut, and it suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors and hallways. Use it with the matching 300x600mm matt for a two-size layout, or mix in the polished square on a wall.

This is a rectified porcelain tile for walls and floors indoors. The matt surface is forgiving of everyday marks and wipes clean with a damp mop, and the dense body shrugs off spills. Because the edges are rectified, a tight joint keeps the veining looking continuous.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Bed each tile solidly in a flexible porcelain adhesive on a flat floor or wall and tap down to remove voids. A 2 to 3mm joint and a matching ivory or light grey grout suit the rectified edge. Lay from mixed boxes, and seal grout lines in wet areas once cured.
