Description

A bath screen keeps the water in when you shower over the bath — far tidier than a curtain, and it doesn't cling to you. This is the Kartell K-VIT Koncept straight screen with a radius (curved) top edge, in 6mm toughened glass with a polished chrome wall profile.

Radius edge or square edge?

Purely a matter of looks. The two screens are otherwise identical — same size, same glass, same hinge, same price.

Radius edge (this one) has a softly curved top corner. It sits comfortably with a rounded or P-shaped bath and looks a little less severe in a traditional room.
Square edge has a straight, sharp corner — better with a squared-off bath and a contemporary, angular scheme.

Match it to the shape of your bath rather than agonising over it.

Will it fit my bath?

It fits any flat-topped bath and can be fitted at either end, so it doesn't matter which end your taps are. It covers 780mm of the bath — enough for most showering, though if you have a powerful shower or tend to move about, the version with a 220mm extension panel takes coverage to 1000mm.

Living with it

The screen is hinged and rotates through 90° in both directions — fold it back against the wall to get in and out of the bath, or swing it out over the tub to clean behind it. That two-way movement is genuinely useful; screens that only fold one way are awkward to clean.

The glass has an easy-clean coating, so water beads and runs off rather than drying into limescale spots. It still wants a wipe now and then, but far less often than untreated glass.
