Kartell K-VIT KV8 Wetroom Screen Ceiling Post 2m + 1m – Chrome (KON201WP)

A wetroom screen is normally held rigid by a bracing bar running from the top of the glass back to a wall. Where there's no wall within reach — a screen standing part-way into the room, or one facing a window or a doorway — the bar has nowhere to go. This floor-to-ceiling post is the answer: it braces the glass upwards to the ceiling instead of sideways to a wall.

What you get

A 2 metre post with an additional 1 metre extension, so it can be cut to suit ceiling heights above the standard 2000mm screen. Chrome finish.

Before you order

Check what's above the ceiling. The post needs to fix into something solid — a joist, or noggin added between joists. Plasterboard alone won't hold a braced glass panel steady, and a screen that flexes will eventually work its seals loose.

Also worth noting: the post is made in chrome only. If you've chosen a black, brushed brass or brushed nickel screen, a chrome post will stand out. In those finishes it's worth planning the layout so a wall-mounted bracing bar can be used instead.
