Kartell K-VIT Nero 1400x780mm Straight Bath Screen with Square Edge - Matt Black (NER-SSS)

A bath screen keeps the water in when you shower over the bath — far tidier than a curtain, and it doesn't cling to you. This is the Kartell K-VIT Nero version: 6mm toughened glass in a matt black frame, with a square top edge.

Why black

Against a white bath and pale tiles the black frame reads as a deliberate outline rather than trying to disappear the way chrome does. It's the finish to pick if you want the screen to be part of the design, and it ties in with black taps, black shower valves and black waste fittings.

The honest trade-off: matt black shows limescale and water spots more readily than chrome, and the frame wants an occasional wipe to keep it looking sharp. Not a lot of work, but more than none.

Square edge or curved?

Purely a matter of looks — the two Nero screens are otherwise identical, same size, same glass, same price.

• Square edge (this one) has a straight, sharp top corner, suiting a squared-off bath and an angular room.
• Curved (radius) edge softens the top corner and sits better with a rounded or P-shaped bath.

Will it fit my bath?

It fits any flat-topped bath and goes at either end, so it doesn't matter which end your taps are. It covers 780mm of the bath.
