Low Level Shower Trays

Low Level Shower Trays

(24 products)
View as

A low level shower tray sits close to the floor, reducing or removing the step into the shower. It is the practical middle ground between a standard raised tray and a full wet room: far easier to get into for anyone with limited mobility, but without the tanking and floor preparation a wet room needs.

How low is low?

Our range starts at 40mm with the AKW Braddan, which can be recessed into a timber or screeded floor for a completely flush, level-access threshold, or surface-mounted as a low step-in tray on a solid floor. Slimline stone resin and acrylic trays typically sit between 40mm and 45mm.

Sizes and shapes

Rectangular trays from 1000x700mm up to 1800x900mm suit alcoves and longer walk-in layouts, while square trays from 800x800mm work in corners and smaller bathrooms. Longer trays give a genuine walk-in feel and more room for a carer or shower seat.

Choosing your waste

Most low level trays take a 90mm fast-flow waste or a 50mm threaded gravity waste. Where there is little depth below the floor, or no fall to the soil stack, a pumped waste may be needed instead. Our guide to choosing a wet room waste explains the depth and floor-finish rules in detail.

Accessible and Doc M installations

Low level trays are widely specified for accessible bathrooms, local authority and housing association adaptations, care homes and assisted living. Anti-slip surface finishes are available across the range, and ramp kits can ease wheelchair access where the tray is surface-mounted.

If you are unsure which tray suits your floor construction, call our team on 0333 772 4162 and we will help you specify it.
