Kartell K-VIT Frame 700 x 500mm LED Mirror Cabinet (MIR103)

Kartell K-VIT Frame 700 x 500mm LED Mirror Cabinet (MIR103)

A mirrored bathroom cabinet with LED lighting, a demister, a charging socket and two glass shelves — storage and a lit mirror in one unit.

The Light

Frame is lit by a broad rounded border around the door — wider than Fine's slim line, with softly curved corners rather than Link's squared ones.

The rounded corners take the hard edge off a rectangular cabinet, which suits a bathroom with curved basins or a freestanding bath better than a sharply angular design would.

What Makes a Cabinet Worth the Extra

• Two glass shelves inside, so the toothpaste, razors and medicines live behind the door rather than on the basin.
• A double sided mirror door — mirrored inside as well as out, so you can still see yourself with the door open.
• A charging socket for a shaver or electric toothbrush. Bathroom sockets are restricted by the wiring regulations, so the alternative is usually a cable trailing to the windowsill.

Three Tone Ambient Lighting and Demister

The light switches between cool, neutral and warm white — cool for accuracy, warm for early mornings and late evenings. A heated anti-fog demister pad keeps the mirror clear after a shower.

Installation

This cabinet requires an electrical connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician. At nearly 15kg before you put anything in it, it also needs a solid wall or proper noggins behind plasterboard.

The Other Four Designs

Kartell make five cabinets at this size and price, identical except the lit area: Echo has a full border, Spectrum two vertical strips, Fine a slim outline, and Link a bolder squared outline.
