Savannah Sand Stone Effect Matt Porcelain Wall & Floor Tile 600x1200mm (Per Box of 2 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 2 tiles per box, covering around 1.44m². Each 600x1200mm tile is 0.72m², so a box works out at roughly £61.60 per m² (£44.35 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Sand is the warm half of the Savannah range. This 600x1200mm porcelain has a soft beige base with the fine sediment lines of aged stone running across it, and a matt finish that keeps the colour soft in daylight. It suits schemes built around oak, linen and cream.

A 600x1200mm tile covers ground quickly, which makes it practical on a large kitchen or living floor and striking on a shower wall where it can run floor to ceiling with only a couple of joints. It takes a straight set or a brick bond.

Being porcelain it is hard-wearing, dense and happy in wet rooms, and it is rated for indoor walls and floors. The matching sand brick decor and mosaic let you add texture in the same tone. Two tiles per box give 1.44 square metres.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.44 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Bed on a flexible porcelain adhesive with full coverage on floors and no voids under the tile. Use levelling clips on the long edges and a 2-3mm joint in a sand-coloured grout. Make sure the substrate is flat and primed, and blend tiles from several boxes as you go.
