Sold by the box – 115 tiles per box, covering around 1.00m². Each 93x93mm tile is 0.0087m², so a box works out at roughly £124.40 per m² (£1.08 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A plain white 93x93mm porcelain floor tile, the size and matt finish of a traditional Victorian quarry tile. On its own it makes a clean white field; mixed with the black tile from the same range it lays the classic chequerboard that most people picture when they think of a Victorian hall.

The box holds 115 tiles and covers a square metre, so working out quantities is simple: one box per square metre of floor, plus an allowance for cuts. The tiles are loose, not on sheets, which means you can set any pattern you like, from a plain field to diagonal chequers or a simple geometric border.

Porcelain and matt, for indoor floors in hallways, kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and living rooms. The silver grey decorative inset in the Southampton range can be set into a white field as a feature, and the Sag Harbor border sheets finish the edges.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.00 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Small square tiles need a flat, sound floor and a flexible cementitious adhesive spread with a fine-notched trowel. Set out from the centre of the room so cuts match at the walls, keep joints even at 2 to 3mm with spacers, and grout with a flexible grout. Lay a section at a time and check the lines stay straight.
