Kartell K-VIT Koncept Straight Bath Screen 1400mm – Chrome (All Versions)
The Koncept is Kartell's chrome-framed bath screen – a single hinged panel in 6mm toughened glass, standing 1400mm tall, that swings out of the way when you are not showering. It is the plainest and most affordable screen in the range, and the chrome profile suits chrome brassware without drawing attention to itself.
There are two choices to make, and both are on this page.
Square edge or radius edge?
This is the shape of the top outer corner, and it is purely a matter of looks – both are the same size, the same glass and the same price.
- Square edge – a right-angled corner. Crisper, and the better match for a square bath or square brassware.
- Radius edge – a curved corner. Softer, and the traditional bath screen shape.
Do you want the extension panel?
The standard screen is 780mm wide. Adding the extension panel brings it to 1000mm – a second fixed section beside the hinged one, covering more of the bath.
It is worth having if you shower often, if the showerhead is a large drencher, or if water tends to escape past the end of a standard screen. If the bath is only occasionally used for showering, the standard width is usually enough.

Before you order
- Check what is behind the tiles. The screen fixes to the wall and needs something solid to fix into – worth planning before the tiling goes on rather than after.
- Leave room for it to swing. The panel opens out into the room, so check nothing is in its arc.
- It is a screen, not an enclosure. It covers the showering end of the bath rather than its full length, so expect some splash beyond it – which is what the extension panel helps with.
Fitting tips
Fit the bath and let the silicone seal along the walls cure fully before hanging the screen, so the bath cannot settle afterwards and break the seal. Seal along the bottom where the screen meets the bath rim, and leave the vertical wall joint until last so any water that does get behind can find its way back into the bath.
