Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A deep burgundy, the colour of red wine, under a gloss glaze with the soft ripple of a hand-pressed tile. In the 70x140mm brick the colour is rich without being loud, darkening in the shadows between tiles and lifting to a warm red where the light hits.

Boxes of 25 cover 0.25m². It makes a striking splashback behind a hob, a feature wall in a downstairs loo or a lower-wall band in a bathroom. With the amber and forest green bricks from the same range it builds a warm, layered scheme; with white it is crisp and traditional.

Glazed ceramic for indoor walls. The sealed gloss wipes clean, the tile is light and easy to cut, and the colour will not fade. Shade and sheen vary from tile to tile as part of the handmade effect, which is more visible on a deep colour, so lay from several boxes.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a standard wall tile adhesive on a flat, dry surface, spread with a small notched trowel. Keep joints at 2 to 3mm; a dark red or charcoal grout keeps the wall solid, while white outlines every brick. Mix tiles from several boxes and clean grout off the gloss promptly.
