Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Navy is the darkest of the Stonington blues, a deep ink shade that reads close to black in low light and shows its blue when the gloss catches a window. The 70x140mm brick has a soft, hand-finished unevenness, which keeps a dark wall from feeling flat.

A box of 25 covers 0.25m². It works in a stacked bond for a tailored look, in a brick bond for something more traditional, or as a lower-wall band under white tiles. It pairs with the nordic, atlantic and petrol blues for a graded wall, and with white for a sharp contrast.

This is a glazed ceramic wall tile for indoor use. It is light, cuts cleanly and the sealed gloss glaze wipes down easily, though smears show more on a dark gloss than a light one. Shade and surface vary a little from tile to tile, so mix boxes as you fix.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Use a standard wall adhesive on a flat, dry background, combing with a small notched trowel. Keep joints at 2 to 3mm; a navy or charcoal grout holds the colour together, white makes each tile stand out. Draw from several boxes and wipe grout residue off the gloss as you go.
