Stonington Petrol Blue Handmade Effect Gloss Ceramic Wall Tile 70x140mm (Per Box of 25 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Petrol blue leans towards teal: a deep blue-green that looks darker in shade and brighter where the gloss glaze catches the light. The 70x140mm brick has a gently rippled face, so the colour pools and lifts across each tile and a wall of it has real depth.

A box of 25 tiles covers 0.25m². It makes a strong splashback behind a kitchen worktop, a feature wall in a shower or a cloakroom in vertical stack. Brass or copper fittings warm it up; against the white brick from the range it gives a crisp two-colour scheme.

It is a glazed ceramic tile for indoor walls. The glossy glaze is sealed and wipes clean, and the tile is light and easy to cut. Colour and sheen vary from piece to piece by design, so lay from mixed boxes to spread the variation evenly rather than in patches.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a standard wall tile adhesive on a flat, dry surface and a small notched trowel. Joints of 2 to 3mm with a dark grey or teal grout keep the wall solid; a white grout makes a bold grid. Blend from several boxes and clean grout off the gloss before it sets.

Petrol blue is the teal-leaning Stonington blue; the range's other shades are nordic, atlantic and navy blue, white, two greys, black, forest green, amber and burgundy, every one in the same 70x140mm gloss ceramic brick for mixing and matching. See every Stonington tile.
