Kartell K-VIT Crown Las Vegas Towel Rail – Chrome & White (All Sizes)

Crown (also known as Las Vegas) is a traditional towel rail from Kartell that combines a chrome plated frame with a white gloss column radiator in the centre – the classic Victorian look found in period homes. A round chrome towel bar runs across the top and curves back to the wall, the frame stands on two chrome feet, and the white columns between the uprights add extra heat while towels warm on the rail above.

The chrome frame matches chrome taps, showers and accessories, and suits traditional bathrooms with roll-top baths, panelling and period details.

Sizes and heat output

Choosing a size

The 500mm wide version has a five-column radiator and suits a smaller bathroom or en-suite; the 675mm wide version has eight columns, more rail space and around 45% more heat (2617 BTU against 1791 BTU).

If it will be the only heat in the room, check its output against what the room needs – a BTU calculator will give you a figure from the room's size, windows and outside walls. Kartell quote the output at Δt60, a standard test temperature. Many modern boilers, and especially heat pumps, run cooler than that, so the heat you actually get may be lower than the figure shown.

Fitting

Crown stands on the floor on its two feet and is held to the wall by brackets at each end of the top rail. It is supplied with everything needed to fix it, and is pressure tested up to 13 bar. Valves are sold separately – traditional crosshead valves in chrome complete the look; see our towel radiator valves.

The pipe connections face inwards from the uprights, 100mm above the floor, and are 528mm apart on the 675mm version and 356mm apart on the 500mm version (the “tapping centres”). If you are replacing an existing towel rail, measure between your pipes first – if the spacing does not match, the pipework will need adjusting. The rail comes 240mm out from the wall at its deepest point, the curved top bar.

Looking after the finish

Wipe over with a soft, damp cloth and dry to avoid water marks. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and limescale removers, which can damage chrome plating and the white paint finish.
