Carron Integra Single Ended Bath with Twin Grips – White Gloss (All Sizes)

The Carron Integra single ended bath has crisp, rectangular lines with an upright tap end and a sloping backrest at the other, and a pair of hand grips set into the sides to steady you getting in and out. It comes in eight sizes, from a compact 1500 x 700mm to a generous 1800 x 800mm, so there's an Integra for most bathrooms – including in-between 1650 and 1750mm lengths for recesses that don't suit a standard size.

Every size comes in two finishes: Carron's standard 5mm acrylic, with a 30-year warranty, or Carronite, Carron's reinforced finish, with a 40-year warranty. Both are made in Britain by Carron, whose manufacturing history goes back to 1759.

5mm acrylic or Carronite?

Each size is the same shape in either finish. Carronite is the one to choose if you want the extra rigidity – useful if the bath will double as a shower – and a bath that stays warm for longer.

Choose your size

Most sizes are made about 8mm under their nominal size, so they drop into a standard recess with a little room to spare. The 1650 and 1750mm baths are made to their full length, so measure carefully for those.

Panels for the Integra

Panels are sold separately, in standard and Carronite finishes. The 700mm-wide baths take 515mm-high panels; the 750 and 800mm-wide baths take 540mm-high panels.

Codes are shown as standard / Carronite. You only need the end panel if one end of the bath is open, as in a corner layout; a bath fitted into an alcove between two walls needs the front panel alone.

Before you order

• Measure the recess at the back, the middle and the front. Walls are rarely square, and the bath has to fit the narrowest measurement.
• Check the width as well as the length. The 750 and 800mm-wide sizes give more room to bathe but project further into the room – check them against doors, radiators and window sills.
• Check the route in. Up to 1792 x 792mm, the bath has to pass through doorways, round landings and up the stairs – measure any tight turn before delivery day.
• Taps, waste and panels are sold separately.
• Think about the floor. Full to capacity, an Integra holds between 198 and 285kg of water before anyone gets in, so the floor underneath needs to be sound.

Fitting tips

Install the bath with Carron's installation kit, levelled so the rim sits at the height its panels are made to – 515mm or 540mm depending on the width. Fill the bath with water before running the silicone seal along the walls, so the joint cures with the bath at its heaviest and won't pull away the first time someone gets in.
