Carron Profile Single Ended Bath – White Gloss (All Sizes)

The Carron Profile is a clean, square-lined single ended bath with a generous bathing well and a wide, flat rim. It comes in six sizes, from 1500 x 700mm up to 1800 x 700mm, including wider 750mm options and an in-between 1750mm length – so there is a Profile for most recesses.

Every size comes in two finishes: Carron's standard 5mm acrylic, with a 30-year warranty, or Carronite, Carron's reinforced finish, with a 40-year warranty. Both are made in Britain by Carron, whose manufacturing history goes back to 1759.

5mm acrylic or Carronite?

Each size is the same shape in either finish. Carronite is the one to choose if you want the extra rigidity – useful if the bath will double as a shower – and a bath that stays warm for longer.

Choose your size

Most sizes are made about 8mm under their nominal length and width, so they drop into a standard recess with a little room to spare. The 1750mm is made to its full length, so measure carefully for that one.

Which is the roomiest? The 1750 x 750mm holds the most water at 264 litres. The 1800 x 700mm is longer but narrower, so it holds slightly less – it's the one to choose for a long, narrow recess.

Panels for the Profile

Panels are sold separately, in standard and Carronite finishes. The 1500, 1600 and 1700 x 700mm sizes sit at 515mm; the 1700 x 750, 1750 x 750 and 1800 x 700mm sit at 540mm and need the taller panels.

Codes are shown as standard / Carronite. You only need the end panel if one end of the bath is open, as in a corner layout; a bath fitted into an alcove between two walls needs the front panel alone.

Before you order

• Measure the recess at the back, the middle and the front. Walls are rarely square, and the bath has to fit the narrowest measurement.
• Check the panel height for your size. A 515mm panel will not fit a bath that sits at 540mm, and the other way round.
• Check the route in. Up to 1792mm long, the bath has to pass through doorways, round landings and up the stairs – measure any tight turn before delivery day.
• Taps, waste and panels are sold separately.
• Think about the floor and your hot water. Full to capacity, a Profile holds between 190 and 264kg of water before anyone gets in, and the larger sizes take more hot water to fill.

Fitting tips

Install the bath with Carron's installation kit, levelled so the rim sits at the height its panels are made to – 515mm or 540mm depending on the size. Fill the bath with water before running the silicone seal along the walls, so the joint cures with the bath at its heaviest and won't pull away the first time someone gets in.
