Kartell K-VIT Mode Mini Mono Basin Mixer with Click Waste – Chrome (TAP125MOJ)

Kartell K-VIT Mode Mini Mono Basin Mixer with Click Waste – Chrome (TAP125MOJ)

The Kartell K-VIT Mode range is a modern squared-off shape with the corners taken off — a flat-fronted body and a squared spout, softened just enough that it doesn’t look severe. Kartell describe it as “understated with a modern edge”, which is fair: it reads as contemporary without shouting, and sits comfortably in a bathroom that isn’t trying to be a showroom.

This is the mini mono basin mixer: the same tap as the full-size one, built shorter. It also comes complete with a click waste.

When you want the mini

A mini mono is for cloakroom basins and small hand basins — the shallow ones where a full-height mixer sits too tall, looks out of proportion, and throws water at the back of the bowl instead of into it.

The trade-off is reach and clearance: a shorter spout means less room to get your hands underneath. On a normal-sized basin that becomes annoying quickly, so if your basin is full size, take the full-height Mode mono instead.

Why the mini costs the same

Worth saying plainly, because it surprises people: the mini and the full-size mono are both £97 RRP. A mini isn’t a budget version. It is the same tap made shorter, for cloakroom basins and small hand basins where a full-height mixer would look oversized or splash. Choose between them on the size of your basin, not on price.

How it works

Ceramic disc cartridge with quarter-turn operation. The single lever sets flow and temperature together, and a quarter turn takes it from off to full — no winding. Ceramic discs don’t perish the way rubber washers do, so dripping is far less likely over the years.

Before you order

This needs a basin with one tap hole.

Suitable for low pressure systems, so it works on gravity-fed plumbing as well as combi and mains.

The rest of the Mode range

The range also includes the full-size mono basin mixer, a bath filler and a bath shower mixer.
