Planning your bathroom lighting

Good bathroom lighting combines general light (an 18W LED ceiling light) with task light where it matters: over the basin for washing and grooming, over the toilet, and in the shower. Task Focused lights use a narrow beam so the light lands on the work area rather than dazzling the user. The surface mounted task light suits ceilings where a recessed fitting is not possible. For a full accessible bathroom, the lighting kit gives you everything in one order. The pull cord switch is the standard way to switch bathroom lighting safely.

Installation notes

All lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician in line with current wiring regulations and bathroom zone rules.
